Compendium entry, Shovel Knight Dig

Blitzsteeds are minor enemies in Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove, Shovel Knight Dig and in the Puzzler's Pack DLC of Shovel Knight Pocket Dungeon. They appear as red haired, light blue mechanical horses on wheels holding a jousting lance. They are light brown instead in Shovel Knight Dig and have an exhaust pipe on the back.

Behavior and Tactics[]

Treasure Trove[]

In Treasure Trove, Blitzsteed wait until their foe is close enough and then charge at them in a straight line. If they hit a wall, they die. They are best dealt from above as hitting their lance hurts.

They possess BossHealthHalf (1) health point and deal Sword 1 damage point. Upon defeat, they drop one jar and a Treasures icon 10 worth green gem. They are found in Pridemoor Keep and the Forest of Phasing.

Shovel Knight Dig[]

In Shovel Knight Dig, Blitzsteeds behave the same as in Treasure Trove. They also destroy any dirt in their way when charging. They have UI boss HP1 (1) health point and deal Sword 1 damage point. They appear in the Smeltworks and Drill Knight's Castle in specific stage layouts.

Pocket Dungeon[]

In Pocket Dungeon, Blitzsteeds are Legendary Path foes in Pridemoor Keep and are also spawned by Mr. Hat during his boss fight. They always orient themselves left or right toward the player after a turn. They charge at them if they face towards them while on the same line, moving 1 square per turn. If they hit the player they deal them SATKsword 1 damage point. If they hit any other unit, they deal SATKsword 3 damage points to it. They lose their lance after hitting anything and become inactive.

Regardless of their state, Blitzsteed have SNewestBubblesPurpleSNewestBubblesPurpleSNewestBubblesPurple (3) damage points and deal SATKsword 1 damage point when attacked.

Joustus Card[]

One of the Joustus cards in King of Cards, is a Blitzsteed card which can push other cards to the left.

Trivia[]

  • The original color palette for Blitzsteed was light brown instead of the current light blue. The model in Shovel Knight Dig reuses that original color palette.
