The Final Guard is the cheapest Armor Shovel Knight can buy, costing only 3000 gold. Fittingly its function is to reduce the amount of gold lost on death from 25% to 12%, making it great to preserve money in case of multiple deaths.
On the other hand since the benefit of this Armor solely depends on Shovel Knight ability to die or not and the chance or less to retrieve his lost treasure, advanced players may find it offers little practical use. Furthermore once every single other expenses have been fulfilled, gold become of little to no use unless trying to achieve the Order of Hoarders Feat, rendering the Final Guard benefits redundant.
Trivia
- Both Plague Knight and Specter Knight have their own versions of the Final Guard, in the form of the Treasure Trappings and the Cloak of Clemency, although both garments have also additional effects.
