Due to its runaway success, Shovel Knight has appeared on many different platforms, sometimes with their own features. This page lists all differences between versions.

Computer Versions Edit

The Windows, Mac and Linux versions are identical and have no bonus content. They can all be bought from the Yacht Club Games website, Steam or GOG.

Steam Edit

  • Feats are integrated with Steam Achievements
  • Integrated with the trading card system; which unlocks badges, backgrounds and emoticons

GOG Edit

  • Includes 3 HD Wallpapers and 19 Avatars

Nintendo Versions Edit

Nintendo 3DS Family (3DS, 3DS XL, 2DS, New 3DS, New 3DS XL), Wii U and Nintendo Switch.

Via the Shovel Knight AmiiboEdit

The 3DS, 3DS XL and 2DS require a NFC Reader/Writer accessory.

Nintendo 3DS Edit

  • Streetpass Arena
  • No Co-op Mode or Battle Mode planned
  • Stereoscopic 3D- Naturally the 2DS cannot display 3D images.
  • Touchscreen functionality
  • Ability to trade Play Coins for in-game gold

  • Kratos Sidequest: a special fight with Kratos to unlock some special gear

  • The Lightbar functionality.
